Timber Framing Central Coast
Accurate timber wall, roof and extension framing coordinated with structure, openings, cladding and the finishes that follow.
Project thinking
Load paths aligned before the architecture closes in.
We align complex load-bearing paths, precise rafter layouts and robust framing geometries together. Our framing follows the applicable AS 1684 provisions, approved project documents and engineering, establishing a dependable skeletal backbone for detailed coastal homes. We resolve dimensions, materials, junctions, access and finishes before construction so the completed work feels intentional rather than added on.
You deal directly with Zach throughout the project, keeping communication clear and the standard of workmanship consistent from the structural work through to the final carpentry detail.

Construction detail
Detail that holds up over time.
Good timber framing work is as much about what sits behind the finished surface as what you see. Substrates, fixings, movement, drainage, ventilation, weather exposure and future maintenance are considered early—not left as problems for later.
Our work combines the practical knowledge of a licensed builder with the finish-first mindset of a carpenter and joiner. That is especially valuable where structural construction and visible detailing meet in the same project.

Material logic
Material choices made for the site.
Materials are selected for more than colour. We consider durability, coastal exposure, movement, maintenance, compatibility with the existing building and how each junction will be finished. Samples and practical options can be reviewed before the final scope is set.
We work across Terrigal, Avoca Beach, Wamberal, Gosford and surrounding Central Coast suburbs, with selected projects in Sydney where the scope suits our detailed approach.
Site performance
A clear path from idea to completion.
The process starts with a conversation about the site, the result you want and any drawings or inspiration already available. From there we can inspect the property, clarify the scope, identify approval or engineering requirements and prepare a detailed quotation.
During construction, decisions stay connected to the whole project. You work directly with the builder responsible for the outcome, with changes and practical constraints discussed before they affect the finished work.

Build sequence
Accurate wall and roof framing.
Good framing gives every later trade a better foundation. Set-out, plumb, level, straightness, load paths, openings, bracing and interfaces with steel or existing construction all affect the quality of the completed building.
Our background spans structural carpentry and detailed finishing, which means framing decisions are made with later cladding, windows, linings and joinery in mind rather than treated as isolated stages.

What to compare
Extensions, alterations and complex roof geometry.
Alterations and extensions require careful measurement of the existing building and a practical method for temporary support, tie-in and weather protection. Raked walls, roof changes, large openings and custom details may require engineering and close coordination with other trades.
Where structural work transitions into visible carpentry, the same builder remains accountable for how those stages meet. Learn more about our wider building and carpentry services.
Planning your project
Prefabricated trusses or stick-built roof framing.
Prefabricated trusses can be efficient where the roof design, crane or delivery access and internal layout suit them. Stick-built framing can be more adaptable for alterations, restricted access, raked ceilings and complex tie-ins to an existing roof. The structural engineer and approved documentation determine the required system and connections.
A framing quotation should identify timber supply, wall and roof scope, temporary bracing, tie-downs, beams or steel coordination, openings, access equipment and what later fascia, eave, cladding or lining work is included. Accurate scope prevents structural carpentry being mistaken for a labour-only allowance.

Clear answers
Frequently asked questions.
Practical starting points for planning the work. Project-specific advice is confirmed after reviewing the site and scope.
01What timber framing work do you undertake?
+
Work can include walls, roofs, extensions, alterations, openings, structural carpentry and framing associated with residential renovations and additions.
02Does framing require engineering?
+
Some framing can follow approved construction documentation, while beams, large openings, unusual geometry or structural alterations may require project-specific engineering.
03Can you frame an extension into an existing house?
+
Yes. Existing levels, structure, services, temporary support, weather protection and tie-in details need to be inspected and planned as part of the scope.
04Why does framing accuracy matter to the final finish?
+
Straight, square and correctly set-out framing supports cleaner cladding, plaster, cabinetry, windows, doors and trim. Errors at framing stage tend to reappear in every later finish.
